Any books that have....

Any books that have a group of people camping or staying in a cabin deep in the forest and has demons and zombies involved?

Re: Any books that have....

I can think of loads of films with that sort of plot (Evil Dead, Blair Witch, Wrong Turn etc).
There are loads of books set in the woods but all the ones I can think of have ghosts or aliens, not demons and zombies.

The Way Through the Woods by Ramsey Campbell has a forest and a sort of demon. It's good but I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for.

Vampyrrhic Rites - Simon Clark is set in a cabin in a forrest. Its a vampire book though, not demons or zombies. Plus you need to read Vampyrrhic first. They are ok but nothing brilliant.

to tangaloomababe:
Wow! I was just going to create a thread on the Vampyrrhic novel! I didn't know that there's a sequel. Since it takes place in a cabin in the forest. Great! I will definately look into them.

to Barney:
I couldn't find the book you recommended to me online. All I saw was The Darkest Part of the Woods by Ramsey Campbell. Could this be the one you're thinking about?

Re: Any books that have....

Ooops, my mistake.

The Darkest Part of the Woods is what I meant to type.

It's more complex than a group of campers being menaced by something. Good charaterisation, secrets from the past, black magic, quite spooky and atmospheric.
I enjoyed it, hope you will too if you order it!

Joe Bob Briggs ... the American columnist who reviews drive in movies for a living (so it seems!) .. describes this genre as "SPAM IN A CABIN" ...

If you want a nicely written Spam in a Cabin story try out DREAMCATCHER by Stephen King.
