Summer Glau (River Tam) Slated to play a Terminator

Anyone else excited about the upcoming 'Sarah Connor chronicles" Tv series? I have to admit being skeptical after hearing the news that they were making a Terminator show but it really seems to have a winning formula, first of all the show revolves around Sarah Connor which is something T3 really lacked, and second of all Summer Glau is going to be a Terminator (hint hint, 'come with me if you want to live' the famous line uttered in all terminator movies is in the previews) the actors/actresses they got to play the roles of John Connor, & Sarah Connor are also very convincing in my opinion. Check out getterminated.com for a wealth of info about the series, and a funny little flash game that lets you terminate yourself or your friends using your own uploaded photos.

Re: Summer Glau (River Tam) Slated to play a Terminator

There is a thread on this TV series here:
http://www.sffchronicles.co.uk/forum...tv-series.html

Since it is due to be broadcast Jan 2008, I would expect that it has already been filmed, especially considering the ongoing writers strike.

Most members have not been as excited about the prospect as you seem to be, the main problem being that it recons the events of the T3 film as it is set in the present day.

Summer Glau was also in the 4400 if you ever saw that.

I must admit I liked Summer in Firefly, I thought she was very convincing in her part. I am still somewhat sceptical about the Terminator series but I am willing to watch it before making to many judgements.

Re: Summer Glau (River Tam) Slated to play a Terminator

Summer acquits herself fairly well as the latest (and tiniest) terminator in the franchise. She's presented as a bit more developed and mysterious as opposed to previously seen models. My only worry is that she's starting to get typcast as a size 3 who can flatten a buick.
