| Embittered and cynical no more.... I have some news that I just have to share with all at The Chrons. At the ripe old age of 45, and having been divorced for some 8 years, I have .....ahem......fallen in love. It has come as a real surprise to me and I cannot explain the strong feelings that I have for this person and the special connection between us. And, in case any of you are thinking I've developed stalking tendencies, I'm pleased to report that she feels the same way. So, it got me thinking about the nature of love. What exactly is it? How does this happen? Or is it better not to question it and go with the flow? (I think I'll probably be doing the latter regardless of advice!) ![]() |

| At the end of reality | Re: Embittered and cynical no more.... Analyzing the emotion is the best part! ![]() Hehe, yeah, don't waste time on that side of it. Love can't be truly analyzed and understood....believe me, I've tried. It's a highly complex, unpredictable emotion that can strike from anywhere and anytime, so I suggest just go with the flow and let it drag you down into your dottering old age. |

BD,man that's awesome let me get back to you on the nature of love there are angles, complexities, empirical uncertainties, epistemiologial difficulties, unresolved scientific issues, the fact that Barry White may be involved , or a good wine,or a fireplace and a bearskin rug, areas of low density probability distibution on the Gaussian curve women curves *trails off* |

| Re: Embittered and cynical no more.... Congratulations, BD. Though I'm one who overanalyses such things, the emotion (or complex of emotions) itself is often going to be too strong to not just go with it to a fair degree. Best of luck, and I'm very happy for you both.... |
