Re: It's After Midnight on the 24th In The UK.... I've never seen a stick insect but I've heard that I have the build of one. Maybe its because I don't have the kid this year and am broke, but it feels like a non-Christmas this year. Seems like I missed the whole season and holiday this year.

Sorry to hear you've not had a good Christmas or year, so wishing you well for 2008. | |

Re: It's After Midnight on the 24th In The UK.... It is not bad outside the money issue at least and I've been much, much worse off. It just has not felt Christmassy. Few Santa impersonators, the middle block of Christmas Card Lane was rather dark, saw no Marines collecting toys. It feels like an OK winter sans Christmas. Not only am I skinny with long arms and legs, I have antennae.

Re: It's After Midnight on the 24th In The UK.... Do you guys have Christmas light flags? Arround here about a third of all homes fly the flag year round and so at Christmas have a flag and lights. The last few years, however, I have seen flags made of Christmas lights. It may be because many of the sailors and marines that are currently deployed are stationed here. It may be support for loved ones that are overseas as Christmas isn't an American holiday(as in the sense for us specifically).

Re: It's After Midnight on the 24th In The UK.... I think they first popped up after 9/11 along with Santas wearing camo pants and dropping presents from BlackHawks. The military Santas are gone but the flag is still there(sounds like an extra verse to the national anthem). It still seems odd to me, and I am fairly patriotic despite my grumblings about government.
