If you had one million pounds/dollars/etc. and could only buy one thing for yourself, and one thing only, what would it be?

I'm nosy, yes.

I think I'd settle for a house with a garden, and not, shock horror, a BMW.

Anyone else want to share?

Around the same, a place of my own, that sort of thing. Fast cars don't impress me much at all, a good house is a lot better.

I'd buy a farm, with lots of cows, love cows, all pet cows, not to eat or anything. Some horses and a few dogs......

Definitely a house. Wouldn't need a million, though. Not too big, not too flashy. A leafy backyard, a nice back deck. That'd suit me fine.

As much land as I could and let it grow naturly wild, and have a hugh fence around it to stop people trampling over it. My own peice of nature.

If I had a billion pounds for the laugh buy a whole city block and turn it into a farm right in the middle of a city with cows and all.

I'd buy a house upstate with some land, and lots of room for dogs. That is the only thing I'm working for right now.

What about a million dong? About A$100

I would probably get a fully furnished large house for me and my friends to live in and maybe a 1950's Jag. Then something for all friends and family.

I'd buy myself a house and garden, too.

Although, if I had a million dollars, I'd rather find a way to go on living in this house instead of selling it and moving to Oregon.

A small plot of land on top of a mountain. With a special shed on it that has a sliding or revolving roof. And in that shed would be the best dang telescope my remaining money could buy.

Oh, sorry. I meant to say "Something nice for my wife".
