That was nasty Boaz !! You had me looking all over the "other" forum, for spoilers on Jon. You had me going for a while, someday when you least expect it................

Someday when I least expect it? That sounds eerily like Tyrion's words to Cersei. Uh, well, I'll just continue to think of you like you are in your avatar... smiling and holding what?... one of your baby's toys?

Don't worry, you'll get me back. I'm pretty gullible, especially regarding "official" wording.

Re: If you could bring someone back to life...

Again, am I missing something concerning Jon? I don't mind spoilers. PM me if you have to. No, I haven't gotten around to reading those preview chapters at that other place. Their site design hurts my eyes so I can I only handle it in small doses. Maybe I should go there and just copy the text and paste it into something more readable.

Re: If you could bring someone back to life...

Alright, so I skimmed through the spoiler chapters on that other site. I didn't see any mention of Jon dying. I was really looking forward to Dany's chapters in the next book but they don't sound too exciting so far. Anyway, I think I'm not really going to worry about what's in those previews since most or all of it could change by the time the final book is released.

viz, sorry, I was just Boazing you guys.

MID, was that Halloween? Did you dress up your son as a Lannister on purpose? That's awesome! I dressed up my niece in a frog suit... she was little Meera Reed!

I think that's a Care Bear, not a little Lannister. She's teaching her son to go the way of caring and sharing (rather than lying/manipulating/greeding/kinslaying).

Re: If you could bring someone back to life...

Care Bears. Cryin' Lions. Slow Crows. Oath-breakin' Krakens. Fag Stags. What rhymes with Wolves?

If you could bring someone back to life...

Psychologically speaking, some characters have been to the brink and wanted to die. Some have come back and some have not. Sam, Sansa, Jaime, Lancel, and Davos have all either quit living or were in such desperate circumstances that they wished they could die. But all of them have come through and appear to be doing well. Sandor and Tyrion both seem to have hit rock bottom... Now will they continue downwards or will they find wills to live again? If I could bring someone back to life, psychologically speaking... I'd bring back Tyrion and Sandor.

Re: If you could bring someone back to life...

Rigid Frigids? Dead Neds? Sullied Tullys? Too-Kind Lupines?

None are any good but Im always here to lend Boaz a hand with his cleverness. Well, with what he thinks is clever anyhow....

To answer the original question...I think Id leave Ned dead (if only so other "clever" posters can continue to tell me "Ned's dead baby". I wont mention any names but the offending party's intials are TK-421.) and Oberyns death scene was so compelling that Id want to keep that....

Having Rhaegar in hiding? Nah....Renly? He doesnt bring much to the table....Drogo? Intriguing but no...

My answer is....Lady. Yup Lady....okay so here's my thoughts. If Lady doesnt die maybe Sandor doesnt kill Mycah and I can enjoy his character more. Sansa maintains her "Starkiness" throughout her ordeal and is now poised to strike at Petyr like a more refined version of Arya....Nymeria ends up with a running-mate and terrorizes even more Lannisters.

I would like Lady to be alive. I like the direwolves and felt a lot more for the death of Lady than for, say, the death of Catelyn. However, I don't think I would bring her back to life. I still maintain that the reason GRRM killed off Lady (therefore causing Sansa to lose her "Stark-iness") was so that Sansa could be the one Stark that can play the game of thrones. She won't have to be burdened with the overbearing Stark sense of honor so she'll be able to perform the political maneuvering necessary to bring the Starks back into power. The loss of her wolf and, subsequently, her innocence, gives her leave to lie, cheat, and manipulate in ways that Ned and Robb never could. She'll be the savior of House Stark.

Sheesh, like I need help coming up with bad jokes.

Lady is a compelling choice because she does not really have her own story. Lady radically changes Sansa's story and by extension Ned's and Arya's. I wonder if Ned would have correctly mistrusted Littlefinger if the two wolves snarled at him constantly.

Renly all the way, just to add as a counter point to the rather drab current state of House Baratheon.

OH HOLY CRAP! *&#%

I hope you're not serious. Damn, and I've been avoiding all talk of ADWD.

If I close my eyes real tight and plug my ears and go fa-la-la-la-la enough maybe I'll forget what I just read......

*&#%. It did not work. No more forums until the book is released!!!

Gonna miss you for a while, Boaz.
