Re: Picture of The Joker I still think it would be great to see Mark Hamill as The Joker in a live action film. There is just something in the way he portrays the character in Batman The Animated Series, and Justice League that is an absolutely perfect mix of madness and brilliance. That laugh of his... I doubt anyone can match it.

| Re: Picture of The Joker Quote:
the plot is that what you see if the Joker in makeup - yep makeup! basically they applied the makeup at the start of the film and then basically let the makup kindof rot away - so as the film goes on the face looks less perfect and more horrid... now back to the make up thing, effectively it "appears" that the joker here is a man simply in makeup - so thats why you can see a fair amout of pink in the skin and brown in the hair... now before people start cutting writs the rumor is that is "late" in the film (end perhaps??) that the joker actually does the old chemical bath routeen to perminantly change his skin / hair tone... but this could be a deliberate act rather than an accident that made him insane. we KNOW the batsuit is changed in the movie as part of the plot line - so why not make the joker go through a "metamoprphasis" also... and before all the fanboys / girls get very upset remember in the killing joke, seen by many as THE definitive joker story he says "sometimes I remeber it this way, some tim,es I remember it differently" making his origins a mystery... even to himself. So for me I think Nolan has a right to re-engineer a joker origin the way that best suits this now darker batman story line, moreover by allowing the joker to be a total raving maniac first who CHOOSES to look the way he does makes him much much more menacing. either way all I can say is from what I've seen its possibly the best rendition of the joker - and I'm firmly in the camp of Jack Nicholson was a terrible travisty of a joker. | |

Re: Picture of The Joker Yeah Jack Nicholson was soo bad as The Joker. I get they want this look for The Joker. But his look is so iconic that i wish for once they would actually make a big villain look like he does in the comic in this series .... Marvel movies seems to be alot better at that.

Re: Picture of The Joker I'll challenge you on Venom tbh - I thought it was a dreadful version - still I thought thw "black suit" was just a cheap monochromatic version of the usual suit anyway so that really annoyed me - but hey ho - I'll absolutely give you the silverserfer as perfection, Magneto I would say was not as the comic but still excellent and lets be honest its REALLY hard to screw up the sandman costume , Doc Oc was perfecto too.as for DC well I'm Not a vast fan of the black rubber batsuit tbh - and yes the Superman returns outfit was just dire, ignoring the reds, its was the whole suit ... did anybody esle notise every inch was covered in very small super S's??? I'm not saying go back to the Christopher Reve outfit but lets get a little closer plx. yes the DC costumes on a whole have been relitively terrible with "for me" one exception - the TV series of the Flash - the suit was superb, why couldnt they use this concept more in the DC univers films rather than trying to replicate the spiderman type suit. http://www.kryptonsite.com/flash/comingsoonflash.jpg hey ho

Re: Picture of The Joker The Symbiot suit looked horrible i agree on that. But the monster that is venom looked good. Bat and his rubber suit is so off. I have never seen bats in suits like that in the comics. He has armour under the costume but not rubber all over..... The Joker outfit and look will look as bad or even worse than Batman looks.....

Re: Picture of The Joker with great regret we note that Heath Ledger has died. Its currently suspected that he suffered from a drugs overdose. He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper. According to NYPD a masseuse arrived at Ledger's apartment and was let in by a housekeeper. When Ledger didn't answer his bedroom door, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened it and found him unconscious. They attempted to wake him; when they couldn't, they called 911. When paramedics responded, the actor was in full cardiac arrest. They attempted to perform CPR on him, but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 28-year-old actor leaves behind a two year old daughter. I'm sure all our thoughts are with the actors family at this time. Rest in peace.

Re: Picture of The Joker Yeah and this will make watching his Joker a hard thing knowing it was the last movie he did. I didnt like all his movies but i thought he was one of few really good young actors in hollywood.

Re: Picture of The Joker This may sound a tad wrong in the circumstances, but please understand I mean it with the highest respect... I hope his performance was the best of his career for this film... if you HAVE to go - go on a high note and leave them wanting more as they say... Oliver Reed's breathtaking performance in Gladiator would in my mind be a good parralel to draw. "Why be So Serious?" - profectic words maybe... but maybee we should all enjoy life a little more while were still here xxx Respect to you all xxx

Re: Picture of The Joker Yes I agree. I was looking forward to this moving, I think Christian Bale makes a great Batman but we will look at in a very different way now. Harley I know where you are coming from, it would be awful if your last (possibly) acting role was viewed as a bit of a stinker. I think though that regardless of anything this movie will now rate its socks off!!!!!!!
