I noticed a reference to a new book being released next year by Mieville called Looking For Jake.

I couldnt find any other info though about it. Does anyone else know anything about this new book?

Took a quick look around, and all I could discover is what you already know: that this book is scheduled for release sometime in 2006. So, it isn't surprising that there isn't much information available yet.

I can't recall Jake just now, but it's probably the short story collection he mentioned in his interview with this site.

I don't recall Jake as a character in any of the New Crubozon books... but wasn't that the name of one of the characters in King Rat?

Yep I think it was, perhaps it is a return to that story.

It'd be quite cool. I didn't think King Rat was as good as his others, but it had potential...
