Why aren't there omnibus editions?

They're pretty much all the rage these days. For many of us, we missed out on hardcovers for indivdual novels of Riftwar and Serpent War. I think it would be chill to have all-in-one hardcover editions of those series.

Well, my guess is that the series are just too big to put into omnibus editions. But saying that, i've an omnibus Star Wars and Lord of the Rings so i really don't know. I think it could be about the money and the publishers: they seem loath to publish his books.

Terry Brooks' omnibus editions of his Shannara series are huge, so that shouldn't be a factor.

I do find it odd that Feist has changed numerous publishers in the US. I'm sure he sells a lot of books, so I'm surprised publishers don't want to keep him.

I've never figured out what's going on between Ray and the publishing community. I label him among the top ten - if not the top five - of fant authors, and with the popularity of his works all these years, they should all be catering to him on bended knee, yet it seems just the opposite.
