I've come back. Finished Fool's Errand. Sadly I had to stop reading my own thread of the second page... You know I hadn't finished it all yet and were spoiling stuff. Now i know of Burrichs death. Oh well, spoilers usually don't bother me too much. I don't exactly like them, but I figure it doesn't really matter for the most part since reading it is different. As for my report after the first book, I figured Nighteyes was going to die with how old and bad his body seemed to be through the book. It's nice that Fitz is finally back in the castle, even if it's in secret. Atleast now he'll be able to be a friend to his "son". Not a very fast reader sadly, must be from the lack of it in excess for all these years. So it was like 2 and half days total for Fool's Errand. Though that includes most of the usual crap of the day, but mainly concentrated on the book. Jinna seems nice so far, though I'm suspicous of her. I doubt they end up together, Hobb isn't that nice. But people say theres a good ending of this trilogy, or so I think, hopefully he'll atleast have some woman he can love since he can't have Molly anymore.

For future posts if you could keep the spoilers down that would be nice. Atleast until I finish it, then we can discuss it fully of course. On page 11 of Golden Fool, back to reading.

And I'm sure it was a good debate, just not something I could join in yet. Didn't wish to end it either, just delay it for awhile in my thread for now. Though now that I've read that Burrich dies I've been having bad thoughts. More of an odd hope I guess, but I certainly doubt it. Plus would be to odd anymore anyways.

Perhaps it would look like something when someone didn't put great thought into a title? I just stuck in two things I thought were cool. I got some pics of wolves in a folder somewhere, maybe I should make it my avatar too lol. Maybe it's a shape-shifting wolf, from wolf to dragon and back again at will.

Stupid Fitz, I thought he might finally get to be with Nettle after Chade said the Queen has ordered her and Thick trained for the Prince's journey to slay the dragon. Obviously Fitz doesn't want that, he wants to keep her away and protect her from such a life. I was hoping that that perfume that he smelled when in the secret ways in the castle that's suppose to bring good dreams or whatever might have trapped him in Nettle's dream the next time he slept and he'd be forced to talk to her then. Figures he has to come up with a promise for the queen to leave her alone if he becomes skillmaster. Oh well, back to reading, on page 391.

190 pages into Fool's Fate. Quite a few times talking with Nettle and her strength of Skill for dreams. lol Fitz seems to be ruining their family in trying to help it. Burrich had like a heart attack when Nettle gave him Fitz's message. I don't think killing the old man is going to make Nettle warm up to him. But yeah, their family seemed ruined to me. With Burrich and Swift arguing all the time, untill he ran away for the second time, then he drank and then got beat up and robbed. Molly is going crazy with it all I guess. Funny stuff. Only ending I would like is if Fitz goes back to Molly after Burrich dies. It would seem strange with all those years and kids of Burrichs, but Molly would need help taking care of them all on her own and making money. I find it very doubtful to happen though with Hobb's fascination at torturing Fitz. Seems there no better woman then her to end up with. But I guess it wouldn't be possible with Fitz back to working for the crown again and being Skillmaster. Same problem again, wouldn't be able to leave to go to her. Guess I have to keep reading to find out.

Finished Fool's Fate. Perfect ending. Fitz and Molly got married, now live at Withywoods or whatever. Patience lives there aswell. Nettle opened up to him at the end. Fitz didn't do anything really for the crown at the very end. Not Skillmaster or assassin, just spent his days with Molly. Too bad Hobb couldn't write a side book about Fitz and Molly and Nettle and them and stuff to extend it all instead of only really mentioning all that happend. Atleast she rights it all in the end with how much tragedy and torture for Fitz. Maybe Molly can put out another kid for Fitz, though maybe not with being older and with how many she already has. Plus Dutiful has his kid aswell, though too young by our thinking. Oh well, all in all a good ending. Sucks that its over now.

tis a view many share - - Hobb's next series is a good read as well - a differnet character, different world, but in the same hobb style of writing.

As in more tragedy and torture for the main character? If so, I think I'll take a break from Hobb for awhile. Even though I was almost addicted to the Fitz books, don't understand why even. Bla, I still want more stories of Fitz and Molly and them from where it left off. Seems I better find a new book to read or may be hard to get out of my mind.

you could take a look at Hobb;s other pen name - Megan Lindholm- there is a link on here website - on the bookshelf
these are very differnet works - shorter tales, with less tragidy and the like - and are less focused on a single character

@shingetsu: aaah great to see another person that loves the ending and most of all fitz and molly being together. you can now read and chime in on the molly and fitz thread. like u, i would love love love to read a side book all about fitz, molly, nettle and riddle in withywoods. what i would give to read a slice of life novel about them.... i dont think i could read the novels again tho, Fitz suffering was way too much for me. It took me a while to detach myself from that tragedy. i dont think i plan to reading another hobb book considering how cruel she can be.

Yeah, I find his life interesting enough without him having to save the world as usual. Mainly him and Molly, and Nettle too. Not sure what I think about Riddle giving attention to her, but suppose she has to find someone.

same here... i would really have loved much longer insights on how he rebuilt his relationship with nettle instead of just that one scene where he invites her to his chades tower at night. it would have been great to see their relationship grow.

Yeah, I would have liked a nice long detailed side book about the growing relationship between Molly and Nettle before he marries Nettle and spends his days with her at Withywoods. Since I think it said he secretly courted her for 3 years before marrying her infront of Dutiful and them. It just gave an accounting at the end where I would have liked an entire book of it instead of 20 pages of whatever.
