I've always liked the splitting of one character into componant parts, and this one was an excellent take on that. Take one original, create a primative version that everyone assumes is a critter, then create a future version that's smarter, more rational, and of more apparent value than either of the other two, and what happens? They all turn on each other of course... well, kind of.

I love that Chi advocated the primative (and tender-hearted) Crichton. Can you imagine what it would be like to suddenly devolve into a cro-magnon man? He still had John's memories, but could no longer communicate clearly, couldn't even stand completely erect, and I doubt he could think the same way. What kind of confusion would his own memories create?

And Futuro was such a prick! Of course, he would be... what kind of humans would we be without compassion? This version of Crichton would probably join up with Scorpy and create his own wormhole research facility. It would best serve his own interest, and that's all he cared about.

Our John was the obvious balance between the two extremes. I love how fragile he was just after he was bounced out of the sphere... he couldn't even stand, and he was shivering beyond control. :errrr: Poor Johnny-boy.

I really dug this eppy... can you tell?
