Publishing article in Vector

There's a long (7 page) interview in the current issue of Vector (the interviews 'n reviews journal of the British Science Fiction Association) about the British SF publishing scene. It's with Jo Fletcher, editorial director of Gollancz, and it's absolutely brilliant: she is frank, outspoken and extremely informative. All authors (actual or prospective) should try to get hold of a copy.

Re: Publishing article in Vector

There's also a lot of helpful stuff in the current issue of Focus, the BSFA magazine produced specifically to inform would-be writers on the industry and their craft, with contributions from the likes of Christopher Priest (The Prestige, The Separation etc), Jetse de Vries (Interzone editor, author and rocket propulsion expert)... and a certain Anthony G. Williams!

All this, plus Vector and Matrix, sent out free to all members... Why would anyone not want to join the BSFA?

By the way, Anthony, there are also a couple of interviews with some interesting things to say about the publishing industry in the next issue of Matrix (which has just gone to print). One is with George Mann of Solaris books, giving s UK perspective, and the other with Lou Anders of Pyr, giving the American view.
