LOTR Trilogy DVD secrets

If you watch the movie in rewind the Balrog comes back to life!

Re: LOTR Trilogy DVD secrets

It's amazing - the signal fires from Rohan to Gondor all go out, in order too!

And the speed that those stairs in Moria are built! Astonishing!

Re: LOTR Trilogy DVD secrets

Why in the name of all the Elder Gods are the movies being watched in rewind? And how many times exactly have all of you done this?

I do it with the signal fires over and over again.

Re: LOTR Trilogy DVD secrets

Anyone watched Gollum rise from the fire and leap up to the ledge high above him yet?

The orcs being buried alive at Isengard was horrible. I almost felt sorry for them.

Re: LOTR Trilogy DVD secrets

If you get it going frame by frame slow-mo reverse there are some odd resurrections

Anyway, the best scene has got to be right at the beginning: sauron levitating an army to a standing position by imploding into a corporeal body!

The flaming steward of Gondor flying up the cliff and running backwards into the hallway is an amazing sight too!

Re: LOTR Trilogy DVD secrets

Having gone home and watched on rewind last night I agree with Joel ... especially about the army being put upright and the Ring Wraiths. Terribly domestic they looked.

Meera was also fascinated so this is probably a good thing Marky.
