Re: Races I thought the THUN were overrated a bit. When PUG encountered them they seemed to me to bit quite primative. Although they are obviously a strong race to over come, a bit like any centaur type creature. I could not understand why the Tsuranni could not overcome them, what with all the warriors and greater path magicans at thier disposal.

Re: Races From description the Thun seem to have somewhat of a tribal nature and be very primitive with the use of stone head axes/maces. Another thing I found interesting about their physical description was that like our mythical centaurs they are half beast with four legs and half man with a bust, arm and a head; but their lower body is more like a large deer or moose and their head is like an ape..Very Wierd...Id like to see some artist rendering of them indeed.

Re: Races Well we learned a lot about the political and social structure of the Tsuranni empire, and the development of the Great Ones, etc, thru the Empire series. But there wasn't a lot about the Cho-Ja, Thun, how they developed, the way territories came to be divided due to war etc. It would be interesting, even at this late date, if JW tackled another book or two on Kelewan. I know I'd buy 'em.

Re: Races Thanks for the input, NJ1 - if he sticks to what he's saying we know how much more Midkemia we have to look forward to. And if his new universe is as good as this one has been, I'll be dragging out the cash to buy those as well.

Re: Races Now THAT would be a brilliant idea. That way we could kind of keep track of Midkemia and the Conclave while we're immersed in the other world too. It'd work well if Pug or someone else from Midkemia dropped into Honest John's once in awhile and sat down with someone from the other series for a cold one... ![]()
