Re: Books you look forward to in 2008

Tell me more about that Sandman ... I keep seeing it but have yet to pick it up. Recently have been seeing box sets of Sandman. I seems there are to be three such box sets collecting all the Sandman comics. I have only seen the first one thus far.

Has anyone got one of this?

And from Neil Gaiman next year am looking forward to the Coraline graphic novel, The Graveyard Book and Odd &The Frost Giants.

OH well my dear the first two of these 3 box sets are freely available at my special bookstore......

To a collector it's gold due to its impressive digitally remastered artwork on exceptional quality paper and heaps of interesting commentary and numerous interviews by Neil. Not feeling jealous I hope?...

The Sandman dustcovers contain all of the covers from 1989-1996 including insightful commentary by Neil and David on the covers themselves, really fascinating stuff! Plus there's a brand new Sandman story by Neil which he has mischevously pronounced to be the Last Sandman Story.

You know you have to buy this right?....

Re: Books you look forward to in 2008

HMMM...well you know you still have a Birthday coming up in 2008 so you just never know your luck in a big city.....

Actually we're kinda even when you think about it. How you ask? Well I'm glad you asked me that question. You see, you more than anyone else got me into exploring all of Neil's work and I have something of his that you don't at the moment. On the other hand, I helped you to see the light on a certain China Man whose latest book I don't have or even a cover image of.

Felling better now?.....

Hi, Nesa,

Yes, the intention is to launch the book at Eastercon. Are you going to be there? Great if so.

And no problem, Ian -- I'll certainly reserve you a copy!

If it arrives, Nation by Terry Pratchett. It will be non-Discworld, and all the better for that; after recent books like Wintersmith and Making Money it seems the guy needs a break.

Definitely looking forward to the third book in the Gentleman Bastard series, The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch.

And the Duma Key by Stephen King. Ooh, according to Amazon, there are only twenty three days between the releases of both these books. June shall be a happy month for me!

Nation? That doesn't sound very pTerry. Must check it out. I'd love to see him starting something new. Thanks for the mentioning, Thadlerian.

Well there are none for sure coming out in 2008 that I can think of right now, but I definately want A Dance with Dragons to come out in 2008. Miracles can happen right?
