I think Sansa will end up being the downfall of Littlefinger. She'll use what he's taught her against him and the good guy Starks will conquer that foe.

I have changed my mind. Catelyn, by far, is my least favorite character. I am not saying I do not understand her motives and such, but I am rereading the entire series and she just friggin sucks. Granted, we have hindsight and are not in her shoes at those moments, but some things are all her fault. She sent Ned south. Practically pleaded with him to even though he wished to refuse. She is a true bitch to Jon who grew up never doing or saying anything wrong to her. She lets Jaime go!!?? For her daughters??? We are talking about 2 girls over infamous Jaime Lannister??? Even though she thinks Arya might be dead so she is only getting one back?? Like another post said on what thread I can't remember, she has the gall to question Bolton about letting Theon go, the man who killed her children, after the nerve of letting Karstark die after he killed Lannisters for CATELYN letting the kingslayer go. I mean, i don't care how bad she wanted her girls. She complains how men act fools in a passage or something, but then she lets a proven general, deadly swordsman and heir to Casterly Rock etc etc .. go??? Kidnaps Tyrion and brings him to Vale where she lets her sis take hold of her captive? Psshh, lady of the vale or not, I would have been like I am Stark of Winterfell this and that til Lyssa shut the hell up.

Now as Stoneheart she doesn't seemed to have changed. I don't know how being kinda undead makes you think, but why the hell is she going to hate/hang Brienne? What, cuz she didn't get her daughters back and speaks of Jaime?? Pffft, I was so glad she died in the Red Wedding, like seriously broke a smile when I read that part and now that biotch once again returns to piss me off. I hope she dies again with a twist of irony; like Nymeria savaging her or one of her kids.

I am vexed. Terribly vexed.

Yes, I have to agree that Catelyn is a frustrating character. In fact, her constant sourpuss ways drove me to distraction every time I was exposed to them.

Yeah, the first read of the four books was very quick for me, and I did not dislike her character. I liked how the author turned her into UnCat, because I was not expecting the series to take a turn in that direction. My fascination was with the author though, and not Cat's character. I'm on my second read, and I'm going slow and taking my time this time around. I dislike Cat in every single time her POV comes up. I can see where her character was put into the story to give another element, but her element is very vexatious.

I have the same feelings Vervain Ashe. During my first read through the series Catelyn didn't really bother me at all. I am now on my second read through the series and am on ACOK, and I am getting more annoyed with her each time I have to read her POV.

I wonder if I would dislike her as much as I do now if I wasn't influenced by all the Catelyn hatin' here.

A-hahahaha..I just finished re-reading Cersei's second chapter in AFFC. Kevan ripping into her at the end of the chapter and telling her like it is my new favorite scene in the series. Geez, how did it take so long for someone to point what an idiot she is? I really can't stand her but she sure is fun to hate.
