Thumbs up Clicking Her Heels by Lucy Hepburn - Nov Avon Book

Clicking Her Heels
Lucy Hepburn
A sparkling romantic comedy debut from a hot new talent
Amy is devastated when her boyfriend mistakenly believes that she’s been cheating on him. His heartbroken revenge is to sell her entire collection of beloved shoes on Ebay – but nothing hurts quite so much as the loss of a pair of ballet shoes, once owned by her late mother, a ballerina, and Amy’s most treasured possession.
Amy decides to track down each pair of shoes and then return home to win back Justin’s heart. She sets off on a journey which takes her around the world and opens her eyes to the endless possibilities and experiences available to her. Each person she meets gives Amy a new perspective on her own life, whether it’s harassed and pregnant Sophie, impassioned sculptor Maddy, or handsome Jack’s wonderful grandmother Alice. She even begins to see her mother in a different light.
At the end of her journey Amy finds that, although she might not be returning triumphantly with each pair of shoes in her possession, she comes home richer in new friendships, experience, romance! and having discovered that she’ll never be alone again.
Lucy Hepburn, never one to pass a shoe shop without the briefest of glances, has aspirations to be as famous as her on-screen idol with whom she shares a surname. Initially this was to be achieved on the ballet stage but the rigors of training and a liking for getting down and diva-ish on the dance floor diverted her from that path. Having written humorous short stories and character sketches to keep her friends amused at work, she decided it was time to put an end to the email distractions and wrote Clicking Her Heels to entertain them in the evenings instead.
