Re: Loose threads from A Game of Thrones

The same advice we give all newbies: Stop reading this Forum now and spend that time reading the greatest fantasy series of all time. You are entering a new world, my friend.

Spoilers?????????????? This forum is loaded to the tits with spoilers.

Come back AFTER you've read AGOT, AKOC, ASOS and AFFC. Shouldn't take too long.

He's right, you know. I lost a lot of sleep my first time through the series. I only had to read three books instead of four though.

Re: Loose threads from A Game of Thrones

Welcome Warrior, Yes you need to beware. There are a ton of spoilers and most are just discussed matter-of-factly with no warning of spoilers... I admit to being guilty of this in most every post. If you are only on Eddard's first chapter, then you don't yet know that Eddard really wa.... oops, almost typed a spoiler.

Egg, Sho-enuff. Sho-gun. Awesome. Maybe we should continue this conversation elsewhere?

Boaz is not my name. I used to have a dog named Boaz. I like Tigger. His attitude is what I strive to emulate online.

"The most wonderful thing about Tiggers, is Tiggers are wonderful things. Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs. They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is, I'm the only one. Oh, III'm the only one!"

"Oh, the wonderful thing about Tiggers is, Tiggers are wonderful chaps. They're loaded with vim and vigor. They love to leap in your lap. They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy, Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is ... III'm the only one!"

As long as I'm free to clown around and not revert to being a spelling nazi, then it's all good.

Im rereading AFFC now (not particularly in order but apparently bookstores in Abu Dhabi only carry a smattering of sf books)...

So in the point above I was trying to say that the 3 eyed crow had appeared to other people...

Anyhow....Euron Crow's Eye (Crow's Eye!) tells Victarion that he had a dream once, that he could fly. In fact he tells Victarion that a man doesnt know what he can do til he tries....then he ponders leaping from the tower window to see what happens. Of course Victarion, being a softie, tells him to go ahead and jump. Euron even has some sort of wine that he stole from warlocks that he uses to try and open Victarions eyes....

Has Euron been visited by the one-eyed crow and learned to fly? Does Crow's Eye mean he's opened his third eye?

Discuss....

Re: Loose threads from A Game of Thrones

I hadn't thought of that take on "Crow's Eye" before. Interesting idea.

About Hodor behaving oddly: I think that has a mundane cause. The thug who tried to murder Bran spent a few days lurking in the stables after the departure of Robert's entourage. Hodor saw the stranger there but was unable to explain.
