Theory 'bout Renly and Loras. Sooooo anyone else get the vibe that prehaps Renly and Loras have something going on between each other? Kinda found a few hints through the first and second book on my second (or mayb it's my third) time through.

Re: Theory 'bout Renly and Loras. Hmm....well as many times Boaz has made various homoerotic inferrings of the twos activities I have to assume he thinks theres something going on there.....Im sure others think so as well, just mayhaps have a little more couth and discretion to not make light of it. Oh who am I kidding, I like a good "Renly and Loras share sword sheaths" quip as much as the next guy.... As my wife told me a couple months back. "I didnt trust Renly when he was alive. He was clearly out for himself. I think a wise man would be hesistant to turn his back on that peacock. (pause) Unless you're Loras"

Re: Theory 'bout Renly and Loras. I think the most damning passage regarding Renly and Loras comes when Jaime returns to KL and Loras confronts Brienne... "This is no concern of yours." Ser Loras shoved him aside. Jaime grabbed the boy with his good hand and yanked him around. "I am the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, you arrogant pup. Your commander, so long as you wear that white cloak. Now sheathe your bloody sword, or I'll take it from you and shove it up some place even Renly never found."

Re: Theory 'bout Renly and Loras. Shack, Loras & Renly is the only other titled thread on this topic. But many of our posts throughout the last three years or so have been flavored with references to Renly and Loras. If you reread certain passages with the possibility of them being gay in mind, then you'll definitely see it. In no order some of these passages are... the meeting between Stannis and Renly in ACOK... Loras escorting Sansa to meet Margaery in ASOS... Renly showing Margaery's picture to Ned in AGOT... well these are the ones I recall off the top of my head. Also in AFFC, Littlefinger confirms Lyn Corbray's homosexuality to Sansa. In ASOS, the Lannisters repeat the rumors of Prince Oberyn's bisexuality.

Re: Theory 'bout Renly and Loras. First, it's BFS. Now, AGD. Oh, I like it. Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell... kinda like Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. There is a website called superdickery.com. No, it's not sexual in nature. It's about Superman being a jerk. On a ton of DC covers, Superman is intentionally cruel to his best friends and helpless innocents. Anyway, there is one section on the site that is called The Seduction of the Innocent... It features covers and panels of thinly veiled and not so veiled implications of, well, the seduction of the innocent. My personal favorite is this one right here. It reminds me of Renly and Loras... the AGD.
