allusions in the belgariad & mallorean

while reading the awakening they made a reference to tristan and iseult and when i checked the footnotes it said the story was about tristan falling in love wit iseult who is his uncle's wife

first thing i thought of was the belgariad
have u noticed any other allusions?

I hadn't noticed about the Tristan and Isolde thing, but now that you mention it it does seem to fit the Belgariad. I'll have to think about this one, though.

not really that deep of an allusion, not sure about the story of Tristan and Isolde, but in the Belgariad, and likely Early in the Mallorean, Silk was smitten by his uncles wife, but she was "fond" of him on the flipside.
