| Re: The 'women' thread I wondered how long it would take before women started spouting off a bunch of stupid false hateful sexist wildly inaccurate made-up stereotypes about men (in total seriousness) while the men continued to refrain from ever coming within a mile of that line. It's inevitable that all conversations on this kind of subject go that way, because of the hostility to men that pervades our culture and women's hateful sexist minds without any parallel attitude in the other direction. It did, however, take longer than I expected in this case... and not even happen in the thread I expected it to happen in! |

| Crooked Warden | Re: The 'women' thread Man I'd hate to meet the women your talking about Delvo. Not all women are hostile, hateful and sexist towards men. If anyone is truly interested in making an attempt at understanding the opposite gender, there is an interesting book called "Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps" by Alan and Barbara Pease. It talks about the differences in the make up between males and females and while I don't agree with everything they say it is very insightful and often quite funny. |

PS: You know, I have met some really immature women and some emotionally explosive crybaby men. Neither sex is better than the other, but there are general characteristics between the sexes. Many households, for example, the wife still cooks and cleans. As a matter of fact, research shows that in households where both the husband and wife are in professional careers, the woman still does the majority of the household chores. This isn't because men are lazy, but because women have a general need to take care of people and things and, most women I know don't want a man to do the chores because men don't do them correctly as they were not taught by their mothers how to do it. That, again, since obviously I have to point this out, is not a SEXIST comment, but a comment of my perceptions in general of the people around me. Hopefully nobody has to have a hissy fit over that. But whats pigeonhole? Or should I not ask...is there an adult video on that? Last edited by dustinzgirl; 1st November 2007 at 10:34 PM. | ||

| 'what to eat' fan | Re: The 'women' thread the remark don't ever pigeonhole people was meant in general, and not directed towards anybody in particular. the somatic and psychological differences are there,of course, but these differences do NOT make for two mutually exclusive groups of people. Most people are a mosaic of socalled 'Male' and 'Female' characteristics. |
