Re: Roger Zelazny: VERY IMPORTANT FOR FANS!

hey, The Khan, your Amber project isn't out yet, is it?

when will it be announced?

Corwin: Black hair, green eyes.

And what about the man dress in black and silver with a silver rose upon him? He would like to think that he has learned something of trust, that he has washed his eyes in some clear spring, that he has polished an ideal or two. Never mind. He may still be only a smart-mouth meddler, skilled mainly in the minor art of survival, blind as ever the dungeons knew him to a finer shade of irony. Never mind, let it go, let it be. I may never be pleased with him.

I like the picture, the Khan, save for the expression.

In Corwin's words, Benedict is detached and, most of the time, benevolent; so, why the frown?

Am I the only one to think so?

Who knows what Benedict was doing when Dworkin drew his trump? Standing for 5 hours while being sketched - you'd be frowning too

But he is dour and seldom smiles. I've always pictured him as stern-looking, even severe, as opposed to detached. And while he does care about Amber and the family (if they deserve it), he's not exactly your jolly uncle.

Re: Roger Zelazny: VERY IMPORTANT FOR FANS!

Point taken, Snowy.

Still, he is rather neutral, isn't he?

Dour, yes. Frowning like that, I don't think so. Not so much...

And didn't Dworkin draw the Trumps on his own, without the models?

This expression doesn't capture the complexity of the man, in my opinion.

Re: Roger Zelazny: VERY IMPORTANT FOR FANS!

i like the new rendering better than the old ones

i don't think the frowning is a problem

on the other hand, i thought Benedict didn't look so old (here, he's got too many wrinkles, imho)

the amberites are almost immortal, when they're not mortally wounded, i mean

edit: the only really old ones are Dworkin and Oberon

Thank you for all of the feedbacks my friends, I really appreciate it We still have a lot of work to do before the adaptation comes out, but rest assured that it will be excellent!
