| This is one of my all-time favourite episodes, because it shows the grown-ups with their masks hanging loose. Though they are not behaving like teenagers, more like sexually active eight-year-olds.
Another scrap of evidence that Giles was brought up in the US - wrapping your cigarettes in your shirt sleeve is not a British habit. Or maybe he watched too much TV while he was trying to be cool.
But there is a flaw at the heart of the episode. A dozen vampires could just have walked out of the hospital with four babies: the whole band candy plot was OTT. The mayor has had more difficult things to explain away.
I don't care though, the episode is still great, especially when Buffy punches Ethan and Giles punches the air in triumph. |
