Feels like I'm a little behind everyone else, but I finally got to see this one last night. Not a bad episode, although I might watch it again smetime to appreciate it better.

I wasn't impressed with this one, but Ronon doesn't particularly interest me as a character.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't interested by Ronon's character. It feels like I've seen the type before, too many times.

Yeah. I don't know much about him, b/c I didn't watch much Atlantis last season - mostly just the eps where RDA was on, but he's never interested me. He's like a Teal'c-lite, or something.

Though, it was funny during his fight with Teyla... That amused me.

Ronon is a trully silly character and for me a bad choice in development of the series.

Teyla was originally down ad the Teal'c type char - a warrior. for reasons unknown to me rather than developing her character and creating her to be an uber fighting machiene she's being relegated to a one line per episode side character. Did the producers just think "nobodys going to buy a kiss ass female warrior - no we better get a guy in for our demographics"...

Ronnan is just to predictable as a character - if i was a military leader you can guarantee I wouldnt be inviting a would be beserker on a mission unless it was as cannon fodder...

We know Jon shepard works - nice Richard Dean Anderson clone,
Ronan is the teal'c now (sigh)
Rodney = Samantha - though with her in it now I'm guessing she'll play the "generals" role and do little - vast waste of tallent as we know she's smarter than rodney - so the whole rodney / zalinska dynamic is now pointless...
and Teyla = pointless reduntant character now - not a Daniel Jackson... not teal'c... just a person who gets taken over by the wraith at all times.


I know this is a bit of a whiny post but I'm just seeing a decent series already starting to flush itself down the toilet becuase its just redeveloping itself all the time

I dont see whats the point of watching SGA S4 if you havent watched S3 other than cause of RDA....



I liked this ep alot. Cause Ronan has grown from Tealc lite IMO. This ep was showed why. I find it very interesting when its about him. Teyla i find uninteresting and useless. They never develop her and she is at best nother more than what if she was with Sheppard.....


Mckay is the star of this show and much more than a Sam clone. He is an hybrid of Sam and Jack. Funny like Jack and smart like Sam.


Its a shame Weir is gone and not Teyla...

Because you don't have to see all of the series to understand the current part?

It's episodic television, not a serial where every new show is dependent on the previous.

It's also how new fans come in. The problem is, Ronon didn't get enough development in this episode for him to be interesting to someone who doesn't know who he is.

Mostly - he doesn't do anything. He just hits things.

Teyla would be more interesting without Ronon, or if she had a good solid storyline and history.

But, the writers are slacking a little - repeating things we've already seen, but with new bad guys - they need to jazz it up a little. Make me *care* about what happens to Ronon - b/c, right now, I don't.
