Does any one else feel the last few chapters of the fall of kings got real religious . (ie) gershom turning out to be abraham

I will have to check, & I could be wrong, but I read it as Gershom turning out to be Moses.

You're not wrong there, Tarl.

I dont think it was preachy though. I think that this was linked in with the Santorini (Thera) eruption...there's evidence to suggest that the plagues of Egypt brought about by Moses were in fact reactions to the eruption.

I think this is why the great man tied the Gershom character to Egypt...its just another way he grounds the Troy story somewhere between myth and reality.

I always thought Gershom was Moses too. Having said that, I havent finished reading part 3 yet.
