On summer nights I sleep outdoors
In a thicket of silver birch
Under a net of woven branches
A trap to catch a dream in

Streaked with clouds of molten gold,
Somnia's burnished Angel, adamant and proud,
Weaves wearying webs upon the world.
Calling the sleepers to their beds,
Calling the dreamers to better lives.


Complaisant boat on the aethereal sea,
Sail where I desire, this night.

Under a ceiling of darkest night,
Lit by a million shimmering stars.
With soft grass making my pillow,
I lay here, one with nature.
Listening to nocturnal sounds and creatures,
Seeking deep sleep, yet perfectly content.

No one else was posting last time, so I tried to see how many related ones I could do. Never occurred to me that they might not be posting because they didn't want to interrupt. I like reading peoples posts as they appear.
