Re: Son of 6 word story -- 6 (or less) lines of 6 words each

Writing, I create fantastic new worlds.
My characters spring to vivid life.
The concept is fresh and intriguing.
Plaot holes do not exist here.
Threads weave a tapestry of magnificence.
Read, it all degenerates to naught.

A world contained within a book.
A new landscape I can explore.
Story painted out on mental canvas.
Characters more than words on paper.
Every detailed stroke feeds my hunger
And spurs me to read more.

The sky is salted with stars;
sometimes clouds come lick them up.

Re: Son of 6 word story -- 6 (or less) lines of 6 words each

A weaving maiden of high heaven,
Fell in love with a mortal man.
Although her father forbade the tryst,
The gods took pity, and sent
A bridge of birds to reunite them,
Yet only on a certain day.

If the weather is very poor,
The birds will not carry them.
Thus they always pray for sun.

(I know that technically spills over into another story, but I couldn't fit the whole story into six lines. It's paraphrased from a Japanese fable I'm fond of.)

And clouds shake their sparkling goatees,
while skies like fields of wawes
roll and foam around the sun.

The Moon and Star watch silently,
Earth bound angels traverse the globe
The Moon She lights the way
The Star She guides the way
Together they help the earth bound
Angels to find their way again

An all consuming beast, it moves.
Ever onwards, and never going back.

The moon is a crystal fruit
Plucked from a world-spanning tree
By the hand of a giant
Who found the taste too bitter.

Thee headed hound, grim gate keeper.
Eternal watcher of Hades' front door.
Who can gain entry without notice?

Raindrops have frozen on a cobweb
The spider dreams it was she
Who spun this fragile, crystal lace
From a shining thread of ice.

Watchful hunter, grim and never tiring.
Chasing prey in the dim twilight.
Running in the pack, target fixed,
Howling a song to the heavens.

I've not yet tried doing this
It's too early in the morning
I need a cup of tea
Boiling water, teabag, milk and sugar
That'll get my brain started up
Then maybe I can attempt this

I envy the birds their wings.
Soaring high above me, flying free.

quiet I sit, watching, waiting, wanting
the moon shines illuminating silver clouds
lightning flashes lighting up the skie
thunder booms rattling the window glass.
The crow lord comes, take me
