Re: New Spring I haven't read that one yet. I did read the short story about Lan and Moiraine in one of the Legends books...I think it was the first Legend book, but I'm not entirely certain and I don't feel like going to look and make sure. ![]() ![]()

Re: New Spring I've got it on the shelf, but haven't read it yet. Am waiting for whole series to read in one hit. Doesn't look like anyone has read it Neon, or they're not saying. Probably scared a horde of anti-Jordanites will come over the hill in battle garb wielding swords and screaming war cries like they usually do when they hear the word "jordan". I'll stand by you Robert!

Re: New Spring yes. i thought it was not bad. seeing the begining of moraine and Lan's relationship definately was interesting. i like Siuan Sanche too, she really does have a toung like a knife. Cadsuane Melaidhrin is an interesting character too.she kinda scary. i cant help to think sometimes that she is a darkfriend.

Re: New Spring It is also in graphic novel format created by the same people who made a Hedge Knight. It probably is based on the Legends story. http://www.dabelbrothers.com/newspring/newspring.php

Re: New Spring The Legend books are a collection of short stories by various authors, Jordan beeing one of them. After Jordan did the Legend version of New Spring, he complained that he had wanted to make it longer. His publisher then told him to write the complete version and they'd print that one as well. So it's the same story in both books, just that the Legend version is a bit shorter. And I thought new spring was a good read.

Re: New Spring I have read this one and I really liked it a lot. It goes through how Moraine and Lan met and how their relationship developed from there. It also explains how the hunt for The Dragon Reborn began. I've read all of the WOT books up through book 10 and am currently reading book 11. I really like the series although I must say it seems pretty drawn out. Does anyone know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel?

Re: New Spring I waited for New Spring to come out in paperback but I read it and liked it. For some reason this book had an emotional impact on me that none of the other books did. I enjoyed all the other books plenty, I just never got had an emotional reaction to any of them. I don't remember now exactly what set it off but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with Lan and Moirane looking out for each other.
