Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest Crazy theory, I know, but it is my belief that The Children of the Forest, KNEW that Bran was going to be crippled. In fact, he may have NEEDED to be crippled so that his powers would be unlocked, but I don't believe so. Anyway, I think that Old Nan is either a Children of the Forest herself, or is an Agent for them. Probably the latter in this situation. So, the Children sent her to Winterfell to watch over Bran, but also to watch over Bran's "tool" Hodor. In order to make the trip north to meet them, they knew that Bran would need a "ride" as it were, and I don't think a horse would've worked, so they sent Hodor. Now, after Bran gets to the Children, maybe they will heal Brans legs and give Hodor back his mind. That would be cool. So, does anyone think that any part of this crazy theory might be true?!

Re: Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest It seems that Nan was in Winterfell before Bran's uncle Brandon was born... mayhaps she's been there since before old Lord Rickard was born. How far into the future can the CotF see? Would they have planted Nan fifty years in advance?

Re: Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest I don't Know but obviously somebody can see into the future a very long way's I mean since there are the prophecies and stuf...couldn't the children of the forest have made these prophecies...couldn't they plant nan there 50 years cause i mean 50 years to teh children of the forest would be nothing....but idk it is jsut a theory I had

Re: Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest I'm not gainsaying you on this. I'm just asking questions also. TK, Egg, and the others can tell you that I like hypotheses that deal with secret agents!

Re: Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest You were not harsh at all. You can disagree with me... I'm big enough to take it. Seriously, I'm always looking for secret agents in Westeros. The link below gives a good idea of some of the secret agents that we've postulated. Everyone needs a conspiracy theory.

Re: Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest That is completely imposible theory. Old Nan is about 100 years old ,maybe even more. Hodor, on the other side, is somewhere between 20-30. For that theory to work children will have to make a prophecy for at least 2000 years. And it would be probably something like this "After much suffering,in the family of the northern first man, a child with great powers will be born. He will return our people all glory we had before the great bloodlust."

Re: Crazy theory about Hodor,Nan,Bran,And the children of the forest More likely Old Nan was once a wildling than a Child of the Forest. And, yes, Boaz has a knack for great conspiracy theories. Did he tell you the one about how it was the guy on grassy knoll that actually cut off Ned's head?
