| Re: Question for Team Stargate Members There's only been one mission so far, but I'd say very easy to understand. Basically, just finding forums, communities etc. to post about the latest happenings in Stargate as given in the emails sent out by MGM. Simple instructions, listing the objectives (aka what you should be posting about), keep track of replies and views of the posts (they need not be in their own threads), and complete the mission report using the template provided in a link in the mission email. I believe there's a week between them, as the first one came out Monday and is due Sunday evening. I think it's worth it if it helps get Stargate out there and get it more viewers so we can have more hope for a season 5. Plus there's the added bonus of possibly receiving cool stuff for taking some time out of our days to spread the word about one of our favourite shows! |

The problem is that that is going to be treated as Spam by most boards. If there is another "mission", stop posting new threads and stick to the existing ones. You caused the Moderators here much extra work until you were warned and calmed down a little. I think that is actually not in your own interest, and is largely self defeating considering what you wish to achieve. The information in your posts is, in the large, interesting and informative, and of use to other members, but if you look at the page of recent threads right now, Team Stargate still dominates them and overwhelms the discussion threads. We are a discussion forum here, discussions are our life-blood. If you really want to promote Stargate join our community and add to those discussions, not just posting something someone has told you to post. Which, to be absolutely fair, is exactly what some have done. Apart from the fact that it sounds a little anorak and nerdy, like train-spotting, why alienate a board like this one (which was the largest Stargate forum on the www at one time - TalkStargate, later ASciFi). Can I also ask what information you have recorded on members and what you do with it? | |
