Please don't post spoilers in thread titles!

Ugh. Just browsing a forum I don't expect to see spoilers directly in the title of the thread. If a thread says it contains spoilers then I know not to look into it. But when a thread says "Whiskeyjack dead or ascended?" then I know something is going to happen to that character.

the WhiskeyJack thread? well that was unlucky sorry about that hope it doesn't spoil stuff too much. In this forum you tend to get fans who are well progressed into this particular series. As a general rule chronicles is pretty good spoiler wise looks like one just slipped the net,

I've altered the thread title. Never read the books and not my forum, but the point is taken. It's a difficult thing dealing with posts on a character that runs through a series of books, films or TV though.

The damage has been done for me!!!!

That's ok, future readers that start out in the series are saved from a little Whiskeyjack foreshadow.

Perhaps this thread should be edited too. I've read the books, but I think if people hadn't, they could take a good guess at what the spoiler was, just from the posts here (even Zee's admirable attempt to hide the text doesn't quite manage it).

Doesn't every character (and everyone) experience Death, Sex and Taxes?

I used the spoiler tags that the forum has. If you place text between [ spoiler ] and then [/ spoiler ] it will give you that white-out appearance. I've seen other boards where it would black out the text altogether unless you hi-light it. Maybe the board should go to that format as it's harder to stumble upon spoilers.

I tried to edit my original post but I can't?

Yeah, I think the forum prevents history changing as standard

Re: Please don't post spoilers in thread titles!

In my defense, And this answer contains SPOILERS:

He dead in MoI, many more books have already been published since then.
I understand that many have just started reading the series but for those who have read it since the beginning much time has past, and it is normal to discuss it seeing further developments with the bridgeburners. That said i should have watched out more with the title itself and put up a spoiler warning. Did not think of it at the time.
