I've read Truckers, are Diggers and Wings any good? I thought they'd just be variations on a theme.

It's what happens next. If you liked the story in the first book, the other two bring them up against harder and more thrilling challenges; not to mention some great dialogue between the gnomes themselves

They certainly resolve the story so if you enjoyed Truckers you'll enjoy them I'm sure. If I remember rightly they sort of run alongside each other. I really enjoyed the whole lot.
