Which ones would they be? If Lucas was a contrary guy and went ahead and made 7, 8 and 9 or he let someone else do it, which books would it be? I've been thinking about it for a while and I thought maybe the Thrawn trilogy. They are good books and would work as films. Your thoughts?

Re: Which ones would they be? Well, if he was going to be a really contrary guy, and actually turn someone else's story into 7,8 & 9, then the Thrawn trilogy would be ideal. Truce At Bakura and Courtship of Princess Leia aren't really intertwined enough to qualify as 7 & 8, and then what would be 9? But RotJ could jump seamlessly to Heir To The Empire. You would almost have to use the Thrawn Trilogy for the 7,8 & 9 because the Mara character is introduced in Heir To The Empire, but she shows up in many of the later books. Of course he could just drop the episode numbers and make Rogue Squadron movies. That might be Kool.

Re: Which ones would they be? Yep that we might Joel but until then we have to speculate. Even if not a film series then a TV series of the X-Wing books. That would be pretty awesome though I don't think SW is meant for the small screen.
