Re: Reynick and Femke?

But surely if you knew whether they got together, or whether both of them survived to the end of the series, would that not ruin the story for you? I'd hate to give spoilers that would take away from the experience of discovering the story through reading it.

Nice to see you here, Ada. I hope you stick around.

Out of interest, was the romantic element of the story a plus for you? Some like it, some don't. I'm guessing you're a bit of a romantic at heart.

Re: Reynick and Femke?

hi,

unfortunately for me i always have to know the ending of stories im trying to train myself off the obsession but its isn't working.
i can see how it would spoil it for some people but it wouldn't for me!!!

i like'd the romantic element because it added extra depth to the story and it gave me a further insight into femke's charator and feelings......
im not really a romantic ..... i prefer fast paced thrillers and horror books but i am always up for a twist in the story........
theres just one other thing i'd like to comment on....
when you where doing book singings in the Brent Cross Whsmith i commented that the book sounded like a lot of Darren Shans work. You said that you didn't go in for all the blood guts and gore, but when i read the first book there is a total of 6 death scenes or murders.... hehe (i like that element by the way)
anyway just wanted to put a face to a name.........

Re: Reynick and Femke?

I tend to avoid the kind of books which are about romance, but having it as a part of the whole story doesn't bother me. I liked the extra uncertainty it added to all their decisions, and the awkward moments were kind of funny

Re: Reynick and Femke?

I liked the Romance in each of the series, it made them much more interesting for me actually. Even though i don't really read Romance books :P

haha, kind of like the way he said to me that the books don't involve much magic, and are mostly Sabotage and Murder, when i read the Darkweaver series, it was an all-out magic fest!

But then again i guess he could of been talking about the Imperial series.
