| Re: Astronomers Find Stars & Billion Light Years Away! Again... not a great deal, other than such a find isn't really unexpected; they've rather figured on finding such now and again, as they're not really outside the likely range of star (or even galaxy) formations. Nonetheless, it's fascinating stuff, and thanks for bringing it in. Always neat to see the new stuff they're finding... |

| Re: Astronomers Find Stars & Billion Light Years Away! Hi all ! Umm, Yerr, I do (My First post!). I'm no Astro-Phys'ist, but am a keen Astro-Twitcher. What I want to know is what happened to all those QASARS! Unlike A Rimmer, I do under-stand what a Qasar is and what red shift means in rel' to them! Are they the "Dinosaurs of the Universe"? All that matter being "pumped" into existance seems to have stopped a while ago. Why? I cant argue on the Quantum level but surely we would see their "Fossil" Signatures, somewhere? Why not? Are they white holes ( worm-holes from other Univ's's) ? Any ideas as to the Fate of these "Monsters" ? Last edited by Yawning Angel; 27th September 2007 at 11:11 AM. Reason: adding a bit |
