This October is the 40th anniversary of the publication of "Weyr Search", the first story about Pern.

"40 Years of Pern" commemorates this grand occasion, a book of essays by Pern fans, explaining how they came to first read Pern, and what it has meant in their lives. Some tales are touching, others are humorous, almost all will make you smile, and most are even accompanied by a photograph.

Anne McCaffrey wrote an introduction to the book, and among the contributing fans are some notable names:
Elizabeth Anne Scarborough
Elizabeth Kerner
Dr. Steven Beard
Les Edwards
Robin Wood
Jody Lynn Nye
Bill Fawcett
Margaret Ball
Naomi Novik
Richard Woods

A must buy for me! It will be interesting to find out what other fans thought of her stories of Pern.

Hopefully they will have copies over here...

They won't, it's a fan publication, they'll make as many copies as they get orders. So you'll have to order it from the publisher in the link provided by Cheryl.
