| Re: Eragon I've noticed that a lot of people say Christopher stole ideas from Mccaffery and Lucas, regardless if telepathic dragons and epics weren't exactly original to begin with. Makes me wonder it isn't a major case of "His book was published and mine isn't, so I'm gonna hate him for his success." No offence given, I sure I emulate a lot of Anne Mccaffery and Tara K. Harper too. I don't want to be told I stole my ideas from them if I get published. |

| Re: Eragon point, a 17 year old kid writes fan-fiction that incorporates concepts and ideas that have been part of popular culture for years. the telepathic dragons, no not that unique. one that bonds with a human for life.... if the human dies so does the dragon, but if the dragon dies enh... the Lucas stuff. that I can't really say much of. but a lot of the items I read in Eragon were identical to plot items in other books. |
