How would you rate WoT and Malazan out of 10? Give us a list.

I'm intrigue in the trend. The "trend" is the most useful part about these lists. If a poster gives high rating to Book A-B-C-D and I also rate A-C-D highly, I will go to Amazon and check out Book B. Similar taste. If I like what I see, I would buy it.

I'm not picking on you. Just using your post as an example. If it is in numerical order, it is easier to analyze the data and see the trend.

Please rate it in order from best to worst.

Discworld 9.5
Deathgate cycle 8.5
Dragonlance 8.1
Mist wraight series 7.9

Re: Rate fantasy novels/series that you've read out of a score of 10 (best to worst)

Martin - A Song of Ice and Fire: 10
Tolkien - Lord of the Rings: 9
Erickson - Malazan Book of the Fallen: 8.5
Kerr: Deverry Series: 6.5
Jordan: Wheel of Time: 2
Goodkind: The Sword of Truth: 0

And Rane: AFFC simply "awful"? Unfortunate you feel that way but you are the first reader of GRRM I have come across that has used that harsh word to describe an otherwise brilliant continuation to the best fantasy series, period.

Yeah, I was thinking about starting a thread about it... I could hardly believe it was the same author who wrote the previous books, all of which were brilliant.

The conversation on the merits of AFFC is done. See these (and I really dug up some old ones...so that horse is long beaten to death):

Overview of his Song of Fire and Ice series?

AFFC take two

Was it a Feast or a snack?

ASoIaF weakness(es)?

AFFC - afterthoughts

[SPOILERS] AFfC General Discussion

ASOI&F Going Downhill?

A Feast For Crows - The split, the reasoning doesn't make sense!
