| zumaya Zumaya Publications anyone know much abotu them? brought a book from them? they've requsted my full ms, and i will submit it, but on the rare off chance they say yes, i'd be interested to know if anyone's had dealings with them, or brought from them, just for an idea of quality of the book, how good they are, etc |

| Re: zumaya yeah. they also got a, bad contract comment, as well! though a friend of mine did say why that was (she knows them, apparantly) my friend seems tot hink they're good, and she's been in the writing biz a while (editor/writer) so i guess i will send it in and worry about the mixed review if they agree to it. thanks for link ![]() |

| Re: zumaya I wonder how many of those bad clauses in their contract are negotiable. Even large publishers sometimes have stuff in their boiler plate that they don't, realistically, expect people to agree to (although they do cherish a faint hope they can slip it past someone occasionally). |

| Re: zumaya that's a point. ![]() and my friend, who knows the editor said that the whole negative comment on preditors and editors was all about someone not wanting to pay for extra copies of their book, or something. which most small print places expect. but i'll still get my dad and stuff to have a look, should they accept me. he tends to understand these things better god i ghate sounding like a dumb girl! |
