| The Dark is Rising Sequence (book) (spoilers) So i have finally finished reading the sequence. Very enjoyable - however the term "said gently" and the word "gentle" in general was overused I felt . Also in the last book in the Silver on the Tree that bit with the anti racism - a wee bit out of place (not that I disagree - quite the opposite). I got the feeling it was a hot topic for the author at the time. I was reading it thought what the heck!? and thought perhaps it would be referred back to at some point but no.... |

As an incentive, they were given British passports and encouraged to think of themselves as British, so when Amin threw them out en masse , guess where they ended up. |

| Re: The Dark is Rising Sequence (book) (spoilers) Well, I think she was trying to say, "Here's an example of human evil, and here's the type of people who could end up taking over the world if we don't win this fight." But I agree, she inserted that passage rather awkwardly. |
