Re: The Art of War II: AmonRa vs. Leto

Bwahahahahahaha!!!

Here is the map, I've finally beaten that damn scanner into submission. Get me!

Ask me about anything you don't understand tomorrow... I'll explain about that weird town over the river too, it's quite important.

Re: The Art of War II: AmonRa vs. Leto

Aww, crap. Gazler have just stopped hotlinking, and the forum won't let me attatch it. *sobs* What will it take? I've emailed brian about it... hopefully he'll be able to fix something. Apologies again

Re: Kyer
The river runs straight through the middle of this sizable town, with just one bridge crossing from one side to the other. You each hold your end of the bridge, and nothing is getting across at the moment. It is effectively two separate towns, but there is a "city watch" who's job is to keep peace between the two forces. This is obviously impossible in the current situation, but they have marksmen all along the river on both sides, and will shoot on sight any soldiers attempting to cross the river. (Except on the bridge)

For AmonRa:
*********************

The parts of the river directly touching the forest are un-crossable by bridge. However, you may be able to get a few soldiers across by other means... thats all I can say But no large numbers of soldiers can cross.

Give me a few days. Wizards are still horribly drunk (ok, ok, I've got urgent work IRL).

Re: The Art of War II: AmonRa vs. Leto

You can post your first lot of instructions, AmonRa. I won't start anyone moving until Leto does the same, but feel free to post Sorry about the problems with posting the map. Entirely my fault...

Excuse me, but can you tell me where the original thread is that started up this thread? I remember reading it, but now I've forgotten where it is...

Re: The Art of War II: AmonRa vs. Leto

For caladan
========

Here are my formations.

At kyer: 5k heavy infantary with 2.5k light infantary infront. 2.5k heavy cavalry on the flank of the heavy infantary.

At Fjner: 5k hoplites, 5k crossbows, the hoplites are to act as a 'shield' from enemy fire. the formation should be made up of about 4 very long rows. they are to be stationed so that if the enemy attempts to cross the bridge that my crossbows can fire down at them.

At The Trorgan bridge: 5k hoplites, 5k heavy infantary (split into 2.5k segments, one on each side of the hoplites. 5k cross bows behind the infantary. i have sent spies, by foot, to check out the situation in Vork. as this is the place i plan to attack first.

if i can defend kyer fjener long enough i will be able to eat away at the amori teritory from the south.

my reserve leigon of heavy cavalry and light infantary are stationed at beeda.
i have sent representatives via horse back to all the villages under my control (Fjener, tatanar, beeda, and trorgan to search for as many men who are capable of fighting and are to head to beeda. they are to bring any weapons, shields, armour etc with them, also the towns must be searched for any thing which would make a good lighting fluid.

Re: The Art of War II: AmonRa vs. Leto

I'm here, i'm here, been running around looking for this damned wizards.

Ok, here we go
At Tjener, 5K heavy infantry + 5k made-up scarecrow to have the same semblance than my soldiers. 2,5 K Crossbows and a staff of engineers (i.e one half drunk wizard and whoever is around him) to build some catapults. Scouts are searching the whereabouts for stones, dry wood, waters and any inflammable liquid. Strangely, all the oil produced in the farms around have been requested. 5 K medium infantry + 5k made-up scarecrow to have the same semblance than my soldier + 5K Cavalry

In Kyer, 2,5 K Crossbows (with inflammable arrows), 5 K light infantry, 10 medium infantry. The plan is to burn your part of the city, and use the confusion to enter.

In Vork, spy heads on the wall (minus one I've let escaped with false info and maybe one or two I didn't spot on). 15 K raid cavalry parked on the two sides of the road leading to the bridge behind the crossbow holders (who are behind bushes or up the trees not actually on the road). 5K heavy infantry waiting in from with 5 k light infantry. For the moment the rest of the medium infantry is parked in Vork town.

Re: The Art of War II: AmonRa vs. Leto

For AmonRa:
****************

Your men have found ample supplies of flammable liquids, particularly in the inns and public houses, however, the residents of the town will only defend their own towns, and have flatly refused to fight elsewhere. (Your men think they are resented for nicking all the booze)

Apart from that, nothing is happening, apart from at Kyer, where the enemy are doing something with their crossbowmen. No accurate reports are forthcoming.
