Compare Star Wars with our World...

This might be interesting. Make a comparison with the world of Star Wars and our own for things going on now in the political arena or technology or anything. Could we have repulsor lifts, droids, or travel the stars someday, could order 66 ever happen or our leaders ever amend the laws to stay in office longer than was originally intended, anything.

I would definitely like to see under water cities like Otoh Gunga, or cloud cities like at Bespin. If only I were born 200 years from now

Maybe a bit more. Bespin would be really cool to live in.

I saw this really cool show on the History channel called Star Wars Tech I think. It was on again the other night and scientists discovered the fourth state of matter, plasma. While plasma has been known for a little while now, they just recently figured out you can configure it to make an almost inpenatrable window. Plasma , being between a solid and a gaseous state, would supposedly make excellent cockpit windows or Otoh Gunga structures.

Anti-gravity is also something that will be commonplace someday, so yes. Cloud City-like structures and vehicles will exist. Anything man can dream up, we can eventually make into a reality, and that is a gift given to us and it's tied in with the satisfaction of discovering it. The funny thing is that most discoveries and inventions were stumbled upon by complete accident.

So many people wish they lived in a previous time, Cof K, not 200 years in the future. You must have a lot of optimisum, or perhaps it's something better than that. Well, just stick around then, having time indefinite put in man's heart did not mean sitting on some cloud playing a harp forever...

Naw. I just think the there have been too many stories about a desolate future. People have forgotten the actual purpose of such stories.

I don't believe many people in the bible went to heaven, either. Supposedly there were angels before people, so if people become angels, where did all the OG angels come from? (sorry Obi) It never made sense to me that God would create two kinds of creatures, only so he could turn around and have one kind all over again.

Re: Compare Star Wars with our World...

I'm such a novice,(lol), when not manipulating a photo with Corel Photopaint 7, I use windows paintbrush for a lot of my pics then blend, smudge or smear with Corel PP 7. I do this with some of my more elaberate artwork too that I hope to show someday. The gallery is still unaccessable to me for some reason. I have so many other art programs also that I just don't have the time to sit and learn. When I'm feeling creative, I use what I have taught myself by trial and error.

Re: Compare Star Wars with our World...

There are a lot of tutorials online, you could look into. If it weren't for tutorials, I wouldn't be able to cope with art programs like Flash, Photoshop, and Ulead Gif Animator (which I no longer have because i re-installed Windows recently, and my bro owns the program)

your pics seem to come out quite well , though.

Re: Compare Star Wars with our World...

Oh yeah, I have a Ulead program too. It's very cool, I have played with it at times. My programs should all have tutorials built in them, I just get so fidgity doing it that way. I know it may be one of my shortcomings ( I assure you one of many) but I do like to learn hands-on. I make a lot more mistakes that way, but there is something to say about exploring these things in such a manner, however, I have refered to the index in the help files mucho often.
