One person's trash... Now, this one rather dumbfounds me.... Medieval crucifix found in Austrian rubbish skip - Yahoo! News At least someone came along who wanted it... and another who realized they might have something more than junk.... But it does rather depress me, given the historical value of the thing, that so much is being made of the monetary value... at least with the announcement on the news page here....

Re: One person's trash... Honestly...The things some people throw away. I always wonder about that sort of thing on antiques programmes, when someone says they found an item that later turns out to be priceless in the rubbish.

Re: One person's trash... 800 years old! That in itself is priceless, and as you say, too much has been made of its monetary value. The history of this crucifix is very interesting though.
