Game of sivas!

Does any1 know if game of sivas(spelling?) really exists? I want to make a computer game like that and I really want to know if GRRM took it from real world or just made it up (reason: It gives me more freedom if he made it up ) Thank you for your future answers.

Sivas? I have no idea what that is... When is it played in the books? I can't recall any games being played, but then I haven't read them for a while.

Re: Game of sivas!

It is mentioned only in AFFC and only in "Dornish" chapters.

Is that cevasse (I don't know where my books are, so thats spelled wrong, you can count on it)? I always thought of it as kind of a chess-ish game, but I don't know anything useful about it.

Re: Game of sivas!

In my country we write as we say and read as it is written . So Bran is Bren, Robb is Rob, Cersei is Sersei, Stannis is Stanis , Catelin is Kejtlin,Aegon is Egon etc. and cevasse(probably?) is sivas . I have only one book written in original(ACOK) so I can't guarantee for game name.

Re: Game of sivas!

I still only have the vaguest memory of this game, I'm afraid. 'Cevasse' does ring a bell though. Trawl through the pages at westeros.org and you might turn it up.
