| Spreading the word of God Seed Hi I hope this isn't classed as spam. I’ve published my first novel, God Seed - and now I'm trying to promote it to people I think would be interested. God Seed is a cyber-thriller that follows the journey of a documentary film-maker, Adam Kyle, as he covers a group of corporate mercenaries. Kyle is propelled into a web of lies, treachery and murder involving fascist extremists, Islamic terrorists, corrupt government officials and a religion as old as Mankind. Now comes the hard part: getting noticed. You can read a preview of the book here: http://www.lulu.com/content/673735 The Crack Magazine (UK) have included a feature on God Seed in their August edition. The Writing Centre (.com) are running a feature on how God Seed was born. If you can spare five minutes, please take a look, and if you like what I’m doing, tell your friends and associates. Help me live my dream. Best wishes David |

| Re: Spreading the word of God Seed Welcome David! I've moved your post to 'Press Releases' as this is the area where it is pretty much ok to 'toot your own horn'. I did like what you said in your post "now comes the hard part" it truly is the hard part. Some scattered web notices probably won't do it. One of our wonderful members here, Mark Robson, started out self-published and basically did all the legwork himself, and did such a good job of it that he is now an internationally published author with giant publishing house. He really did the 'hard part', went out and spoke to people, consumers, book purchasers, booksellers, etc. From the way he tells it he was touting the merits of his four-book series from morning 'til night and it still took him a long time to get noticed. So, don't rest on your laurels or posts, but get out there and work it. Best of luck! |
