Re: Spoiler Alert - Season 4 Press Release! Spoiler Alert!

Ice fyre - have you been watching the same series' as I have? Since 'The Christmas Invasion', the world, in the Doctor Who universe at least, know of the existence of aliens. Also, the ending of the third series took them back to just after the President was killed (a possible storyline for an upcoming episode, anyone?) whilst being watched live accross the globe, thus showing the world of aggressive alien life.

I'd say that pretty much covers the 'not alone' bit - they've known it for ages.

But dont forget they turned the clock back a year the President was not assasinated as the paraox machine was destroyed. But thinking about it you are right the Cybernan Invasion should have set everyone up to realise that aliens were real. I'm a plonker!

I was re-watching the final three-parter a couple of weeks back on BBC3 and they actually mentioned Agatha Christie somewhere. And a couple of other races, at least one of them twice (the Rani?). Is that their subtle clue for this season?

I'm sure the President was still assasinated - the Paradox machine wasn't activated until after that happened, and when the Earth asks what's going on, they say "We've just seen the President killed on live TV. What's going on?"

Or something to that effect. The next series should have all the repurcussions you asked for.

I think it will definitely put an alternative spin on things, as that's never been in Doctor Who before, has it? The whole world conscious of the unusual or aliens. It should be a good series.

According to someone I know - who gets good info from the web on Doctor Who - the series spanning arc was mentioned by the Master in the last episode, and could possibly be something to do with 'Vengeance' or 'Responsibility'.

His theory is that the Doctor himself could become a threat - he's getting loftier and more judgemental as the series' have progressed. And he himself said that any Timelord who takes in the vortex (as he already has done) would have the power of a god, "A vengeful god."

Maybe he is the foe at the end of series 4? It would certainly make for an interesting twist.
