Re: Favorite Musical piece in Star Wars..

I'm not sure what its actually called but I think its the Imperial March, where we first see Darth Vader in the original Star Wars movie. Its always stuck in my mind that particular piece.

Yeah, that's the Imperial March and my favorite piece from John Williams.

Was the Imperial March in ANH? I can't remember, but I think John Williams wrote that for TESB.

I think it is. It is when Vader appears walking down the bridge one his Star Destroyer.

Re: Favorite Musical piece in Star Wars..

The Imperial March, aka Darth Vader's Theme, made its debut in 1980 with The Empire Strikes Back, standing as master over all he surveyed on the bridge of his Super Star Destroyer the Executor, not 1977's A New Hope. Although I'm rather surprised a small musical clip of that theme was not added to his entrance on the Tantive IV with the special editions. I guess the original was good enough, it works for me...

It works for me as well. Maybe I should watch the Original Trilogy again.

Re: Favorite Musical piece in Star Wars..

I'm not sure if this fits into favorite musical piece, but it does have music in them, I'm talking about the Tone Poems in the Episode One bonus disc. They are the TV spot commercials for the movie, and I really like them. I wish they would have continued it with the other two movies. I thought One Destiny and One Will were quite inspirational. Afterwards, I watched the Teaser Trailer again and I have to say it is one the best trailers for a movie I have ever seen. Feel what you may about the movie itself, that preview rocked.

My favourite pieces are The Celebration song in ROTJ. Oo and i adore all of the music in Revenge of The Sith, Padme's Ruminations, Anakin's betrayal and Battle of the heroes are wonderful pieces. And the imperial march of course =]
