Not only should you be shot, (perhaps only in the leg to cause some pain but not kill) but then I believe a bit of hanging, drawing and quartering would suffice!

No, I'm only joking. As Ace says, you just might not have got 'round to reading his books yet. Hell, I've only recently started reading the Discworld novels myself. But they are damned good, I heartily recommend them!

It's OK, but widely discouraged.

I voted "no". Waste of ammunition to shoot everyone who hasn't read Pratchett. There are much more efficient ways of dealing with said people... such as throwing Pratchett books at them in the vain hope that they'll pick one up and read it.

I wan't to read them, But I can't readily got hold of them.
I guess I could get a Library card, There is a Library near my house!

Which gives the idea of mine much more merit.

Why cause pain that could be associated with Pratchett by shooting in a leg, maybe, when you can throw a book at them, which hurts considerably less, AND solves the problem of the books not being readily available.

Ah...the beginning?

The Colour of Magic is the first Discworld novel. And has Rincewind in it, the best cowardly wizzard ever!

The beginning is usually nice...

The Colour of Magic.
Then The Light Fantastic.

Then you can either read the rest of the series in order (which is recommended) or just mix and match (not recommended, but still doable).

The first Discworld game, I think, is based on the book Sourcery. Well, one of them is, at least.
