I Have News

So, after nothing much happening for quite a while ... a deluge of news.

I received on Friday: bound galleys for A Dark Sacrifice. These are the uncorrected proofs that go out to reviewers. When I have the "real" book in hand (the end of November or the beginning of December) we'll have a contest and I'll put up two or three copies as prizes. I also received a very brief but rather cheery-sounding note from my editor at HarperCollins, so I'm cautiously optimistic that they're beginning to forgive me for the multiple missed deadlines. (I'm cautious because I'm not sure I would forgive me if the positions were reversed.)

I received on Saturday: galleys of the Goblin Moon reprint for me to review and make corrections. I'm hoping the book will be available POD from places like amazon sometime in the autumn. More details (and another contest) to follow.

And I just heard from my agent today: we've accepted an offer for reprint editions of all three Green Lion books. I can't say more until I've signed the contract and the deal is official, but Watch This Space.

It's a lot more excitement than I'm used to, that's for sure. About two years' worth.

Re: I Have News

That's awesome news, Teresa!

Now for the ignorant questions...

What is the title of the next book after Hidden Stars? When will it be released? I'm kind of anxious to find out what happens to the heroes!

Re: I Have News

That's the first book I mentioned, Alia: A Dark Sacrifice. It comes out in December.

(Not ignorant questions, Alia. You just weren't visiting the forums when the topic was discussed before.)

Well done Teresa! And good news usually comes by the busload - may it continue. I will of course watch this space.

Good to hear something. Sadly I'm not a reviewer. Looking forward to reading the stuff once it is unleashed upon us.

OMG... I am SOOOOO very excited now! I saw your first book at Barnes and Noble the last time I visited and wondered when the next installment was going to be. You have been on my mind ever since. I figured I would ask after I finished reading about Harry.

Well... it looks like I get to buy two books this year. That's great news!

Re: I Have News

Yay! Congratulations! Now we have to wait until December...sigh. Well, I suppose I can use that time to reread Hidden. Though my 'to read' list is longer than it has been in ages. I actually have sad books looking at me, begging to be picked up. Usually they're just on paper, currently they're on shelves. I've taken to loaning them out so they don't get too lonely ;-)

Hey, good news about Goblin Moon too! I think they'll (assuming Machine gets reprinted too) find many new fans.
