Ummm.... this one pretty much speaks for itself...

Man's smelly feet trigger police raid - Yahoo! News

Titled: "Man's smelly feet trigger police raid", from Reuters, datelined Mon., Jul. 9, 2007.

Now, either it was a VERY slow news day.....

I can't help but wonder... what on earth would make someone's feet smell that bad... and why in hell they didn't notice....

It's not the German April Fool's Day equivalent, is it? Seriously, that can't be real!

Oh, I'm sure it can, actually.... I'm just surprised that anyone could live with a stench like that. Decaying corpse is a smell you don't forget....

Re: Ummm.... this one pretty much speaks for itself...

OMG this is hilarious! I'm not surprised though - funny things happen in Germany a lot. To mention a few I saw in recent papers - a bus driver rudely ordered a girl in a low-cut top to get out of his bus cos he could not concentrate. The girl reported to the police and they sided with the driver, considering the safety of other passengers. Understandable but, can't the drive have a bit of self-control? If he can't he shouldn't be driving a bus!

Another bizarre incident is that a burglar broke into a house while the family was on vacation but accidentally locked himself in the garage. He lived on a couple of beers and a bag of cat food for a few days. When he eventually was ‘rescued’ he sued the family for something like garage facilities unsafe, can’t remember exactly, and he won!

I thought the burglar in the garage happened in the US (although I wouldn't be surprised if there were criminals that stupid in either country). It's being used as a reason for tort reform.

My dad does a lot of fire watching in the mountains. To do this, you are quite literally hours away from electricity, you have a battery powered radio, and are 20 or more stories in the air on a big stilt house. There is no running water.

My oldest son likes to go with him.

To guys, in the woods, without showering, for two weeks at a time, climing those stairs twice a day (for exercise).

Sometimes they will change thier clothes. More often than not, they just spend the time in the clothes they left in.

Yeah, thier feet smell like dead people.

I don't think the police would even want to look for them!

One time, when we was kids, my dad got sprayed by a skunk. My mom made him sleep in the shed for three days. She wouldn't allow him in the house at all.

Re: Ummm.... this one pretty much speaks for itself...

Allegra yes I had heard the one about the guy locking himself in the garage.

We have a friend who has smelly feet, not that smelly though. Maybe the dirty laundry had something to do with it! Or was it the piled up dishes with food scraps in the sink (ok I made that bit up but it sounded good)

I hate smells, bad smells that is. Gosh I remember I cracked an egg once, that had gone bad (you cant tell until you crack them) oh pooo what a smell. I had to escape the house and leave it there until I got my breathe back and went in for the attack.
The house stunk, much insense later........

Me too, Tanga, extremely sensitive to smells. Smell effects my mood and some smells bring back memories. Btw, have you read Patrick Suskind's novel Perfume? If not, I'd like to recommend it highly. But don't watch the film first. It's nothing to do with the The Thirteenth Tale but if you like the Tale I think you'd like Perfume.
